The Functional Medicine model is a patient-centered, science-based approach that encourages a collaborative relationship between patient and provider to address the underlying causes of disease. The M Wellness Centers’ goal is not to simply help in healing your child, but to help in healing the whole family.
Conditions Pediatric Functional Medicine Can Help
If your child suffers from a variety of health issues or conditions such as chronic illnesses, food allergies or intolerances, poor weight gain, frequent infections, or digestive disorders, functional medicine aims to treat the root cause, not just the symptoms.
Preventative
Rather than relying on treating the symptoms to achieve whole health, functional medicine aims to look at the whole picture, not just one sum of its parts. Prescribing lifestyle modifications is used as a first defense as opposed to jumping straight to a prescription. Some modifications used might be food, mindfulness, and activity. Modalities such as IV therapy and ozone therapy are utilized as well.

Personalized
The M Wellness Center approach is based on knowing your entire family, so that we may be able to develop the best care plan for your household, not just your child. Our board certified staff looks at all factors, including the specific genetic makeup of your kid to help in determining a plan. Being that there is no medical treatment that is 100% safe for anyone, we focus on presenting different options.
Relationship Based
The M Wellness Center focuses on building a relationship with the family so that we might better understand how to help you. There is no preset protocol, one-size fits-all to medicine. Only through listening to your concern can we then develop a plan that will benefit the whole family. We strive to create a healing connection between provider and patient.
Creating health is a collaborative process that encourages families to be in control of their health. The M Wellness Center offers a variety of services such as visits with our integrative health coach, nutrition counseling, acupuncture, and IV therapy.
